Este Octubre 2025 también ha sido movidito en nuestro Cultural Center EL NIU FELIÇ -THE KHUSHI NEST de Katmandú (Nepal).
Además de las enseñanzas habituales que nuestras entusiastas profesoras Shanti, Eurela y Sadikshya dan diariamente como clases de Nepalí, de Inglés, de Matemáticas, de Ciencias sociales, Filosofía, lectura de periódicos, imparten Yoga, Gimnasia… hemos celebrado la fiesta TIHAR en honor a la Diosa Laxmi, que es la Diosa de la abundancia.
Esta fiesta es muy luminosa y cálida porque delante de cada portal de la calle se hace un dibujo que se llama RANGOLI, que tiene muchos colores, velas , incienso , dinero, comida…Imaginaos una calle llena de velas encendidas desde las 7 de la tarde hasta que se apagan. Impresiona y te hace sentir super feliz
Veréis con todo detalle las fotos de la preparación de nuestra fiesta, en la que no podía faltar la atención a nuestra Viuda.
Esto es lo que os deseamos de todo corazón, que seáis super felices y que no olvidéis a los más necesitados dándoles un poco de calor en estos tiempos difíciles.

RAM MAYA MAHARJAN, 70 years
She is very happy to be part of The Khushinest. She has slow learning, her work is slow comparing to others, and she wants to learn more in her life. She do not have any problem in her life and she is very happy to be a woman. Her husband loves her very much and treat her with respect. She feel demoted that she couldn’t study in her younger days and her feelings to friends. She gets to learn new things in Khushinest from time to time. She is very thankful to Maria for Khushinest.
DEEPIKA BHATTARAI, 62 years old
She is very happy to study here, her live is little mess but also she wants to study and want to k now more things in her life. She want to be well learned lady. Teachers are giving us many training, activities and education as well. I am also learning training activities. since childhood I want to study but I could not fulfill it but now after coming here I am only feeling like always studying. I want to tell Maria, many Thank you. She may have prosperity, long life and always have happiness.
NANI HERA MAHARJAN, 61 years
She is making things at her home, she is very eager to learn anything handwork. She is used to visit places, she do not like to stay sad and inactive after her husband left her.. She is very skilled and use the knowledge she gained from TKN to apply in her workshops. She is adapting what TKN teaches her. She is very grateful to be in TKN as it has changed her personally and be around TKN, She also wishes to convey message to Maria, she has given such place for women’s to study. Her son and daughter is happy to see her studying. She is very grateful to Founder Maria and three teachers. May god give you all blessings, happy and healthy life.
KAMALA RAI, 58 years old
She is coming from far place, she come and study math and Nepali. She is single mother, she wnts to visit places and lives her live on her own. She is very enjoyable person”I donot care other things, I do what is good and best for me. she is happy to share feelings in TKN. Her elder son already got married now she has younger son studying in higher school. She want to thank so much to the founder Maria for giving various opportunity to all ladies. She misses you, She loves all teachers so much. They really loves me a lot and treat all women so well.
On September and October month, there is Greatest festival; Dashain festival and second greatest festival;Tihar festival. In The khushi Nest we, made kite for Dashain festival, putting tika;worshipping goddess Durga and Rangoli in Tihar festival worshipping Goddess laxmi. They blesses all TKN family with love, prosperity, happiness, longetivity of TKN and progress. I want to show our faith and believe in these festivals by posting this photos in article.
SHANTI MAHARJAN (TEACHER)
I want to share about the Festival Tihar, why we celebrate this festival and how many days, people celebrate Tihar for 5 days. Tihar, also known as Deepawali or the Festival of Lights, is one of the most important and vibrant Hindu festivals celebrated in Nepal and by Nepali communities around the world. It usually lasts for five days and honors not only gods and goddesses but also animals and the bond between humans and nature. Each day has its own special significance- the first day is dedicated to crows, the messengers of death; the second to dogs, symbolizing loyalty; the third to cows and Goddess Laxmi, the goddess of wealth; the fourth to oxen; and the fifth, known as Bhai Tika, celebrates the special bond between brothers and sisters. During Tihar, homes are decorated with oil lamps, colorful rangoli designs, and garlands of marigold flowers. People exchange gifts, sing Deusi-Bhailo songs, and enjoy delicious festive foods, making Tihar a joyful time of light, love, and togetherness.

I want to share you about the Empowerment of Women and Children,
Women, who bear the most important responsibility in the family and bear the main responsibility of a house, can be seen facing many difficulties in society even with today’s development. Our society is still far behind developed countries. Unless a woman in a house is educated, healthy and self-reliant, the progress of the entire nation cannot be imagined. Today’s society seems to be deprived of health and employment 50 hundred years ago due to political reasons. Poverty-education is our future wealth, our children-businessmen’s future is very difficult. In such a situation, the concerned bodies, the state itself will have to take up various responsibilities. And various bodies’ attention to women and children. It seems necessary.
